NEW SUMMER CAMPS POSTED

Summer Camps 2013

These camps are designed for the young dance artists at heart. They give students the chance to explore the creative and exciting world of dance. Classes are offered in numerous topics and ages. A nonrefundable enrollment fee of $20.00 per person is required. (Fee credited towards SDT 2013-2014 fall registration fee.) Classes are limited to 15 participants and are subject to change due to enrollment. Participation is on a first come, first served basis. All classes will require a standard dance “costume” which will be addressed the first day of camp for the final show day. Dance attire is encouraged all camp days. Please bring a snack and bagged lunch for each camp day. Family and Friends Presentation on the final day of class.

Royaly Camp (3-4 Year Olds)

This camp will explore the stories of Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Swan Lake for a great royalty parade. The students will learn how to act and dance with grace and will try on beautiful costumes and props. On the last day of camp the students will present a short dance combination that they had learned at camp. Come and applaud your dancer's achievements. Bring your cameras
(Must be potty trained and not need bathroom assistance from an adult).

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo Camp (3-4 years old)
This camp will let our imaginations soar as we tell the story of Cinderella. Everyday we will add onto the story with dancing, singing, crafts and story telling. Camp is designed to introduce children to movement, music, rhythm and body awareness. On the last day of camp the students will present a short dance combination that they had learned at camp. Come and applaud your dancer's achievements. Bring your cameras.

Ballerina's Boot Camp  (3-4 years old)

Does your little one dance around the house pretending to be Cinderella or the Sugarplum Fairy? Then send your child to "Ballerina's Boot Camp ". For one week, children will take an age appropriate ballet class, create ballet-oriented crafts and learn how ballet dancers tell stories with pantomime. During these three hours, the children will also have a story time where they can learn the story of ballets such as The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Coppelia and other classical ballets. (Must be potty trained and not need bathroom assistance from an adult.)

Fairy Tales & Fairies (3-4 years old)
This Camp is a one-week dance camp for children 3 to 4 years of age. In addition to a daily creative movement class, children participate in fairy tale and fairy-related activities. Our mission is to nurture a love of dance through individual attention and generous positive reinforcement, so we keep our classes small, between 10 and 12 children. (Must be potty trained and not need bathroom assistance from an adult.)

Dance Camp (5-9 years old)

This camp is designed to improve technique, broaden choreography, and performance experience. It will also expose students to a variety of dance forms. This camp will touch base with all area of dance generes including, but not limited to hip hop, jazz, ballet, and modern. The week will conclude with a performance. Come and applaud your dancer's achievements. Bring your cameras!
